Sole Envie is an online social shopping community and e-commerce site that provides women with the unique opportunity to co-design and purchase their own, one of a kind, customized fashion shoes and expresses their personal style. Aimed at being a truly collaborative brand, Sole Envie will develop a fashion savvy community of users that invites them to express themselves by sharing their design, ideas and inspirations with each other.
Monika Desai's decision to change her career and start a footwear company was born out of a lifetime of frustration of not being able to find shoes for her size 4 1/2 feet.
Determined to find a pair of shoes that she liked and that actually fit her for her wedding, she designed and commissioned a pair of custom-made shoes. She fell in love with the process of choosing the style, color, leather and accessory so much she decided to turn the concept into a business so women everywhere could experience the same thrill of designing their own shoes. Since then she has been working furiously to make her idea into a reality.
